3 of 8 Art Contest Winners from PCCS-CFA

Keep Gastonia Beautiful recently sponsored a "Recycled Art Contest" as part of the "Beautification of Gastonia" program. Over 45 pieces of art from 9 different schools competed for top honors. Each school was allowed to enter five pieces of art works and three of our students received awards Artwork was judged by members of the United Arts Council. Winning artwork was on display at the Gaston County Library during the month of November.
Out of the 8 middle school division winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 5 Honorable Mention Awards)... THREE of them were from PCCS!!!

All five participating middle school students are in Miss Bewer's art class. Their projects were part of the "Found Objects/Assemblage Art" unit the class was studying.
